The Non-Dominant Hand of God

The Non-Dominant Hand of God from If These Walls Could Hit Back by Michael Channing

i cut myself
to know that i can heal
i tell myself
there has to be a god
i trust myself
not to go too far
don't worry about me
it's a beautiful scar

no one knows and those who do don't care

beneath the sun
the brutal light of day
above the ground
i drag my weary heart
the dark of night
surrounds me like a home
don’t worry about me
i’m happy alone

no one cares and those who would don’t know

So Used to Surrender
